I don't see it being listed there, but it doesn't mean they can't be growing it. Well at least to me the leaves and the fruit look like Eustis Limequat, cos I bought the same one a few days ago. Although mine is grown by Viveiros Foral. |

First one on the left is Citrus Limon, which is definitely not what you have, there must've been a mix up with the label. |

well the fruit smell like one and the taste is very close to lemon 99,99% , also the label was on all of them ...so I don't think that there is any mistake
But the peel is like eating a kumquat , very very thin |

Yes, the fruits do taste like lemon, I ate one today. Citrus limon has big leaves, that wrinkle. Yours doesn't, it has small leaves with rounded tips, -just like a hybrid, which it is - a cross between lime and a kumquat. And fruits that are the shape of an egg.
Look at my recently bought Eustis Limequat (it's not as pretty as yours, but you get the idea):

I too am pretty sure it's a limequat. I had one in the past, but that was before I discovered this forum, which means I didn't know the right way to care for a citrus plant.
I hoped to get a new one this winter, as they are usually sold now. No luck so far though... _________________ - Marc

I also notice the label on the tree shows a picture of a typical lemon fruit with the nipple on the styler end. However, the fruit on your tree is oblong and smooth without any nipple at all. Wrong label was put on the tree. If done intentionally, or by careless action, in many countries of the world such mislabeling would be a violation of the law. I agree with Evaldas that it is not a lemon. - Millet (765-) |

Hi Millet , thank you for your reply , I agree with that , I was guessing that maybe this is a diferent type of lemon not knowing all the types in the world since I'm a beginner.
About the law , yes this could be possible but since the "nursery" is in Holland and I'm in Romania ,it is quite difficult to deal with it.
Here are some new pictures I took

danero2004,
why not to call them?
I had similar problem in the past:
link
Tue Mar 06, 2007 9:01 pm:
"I tracked down the real manufacturer of this plant, it is "Viveiros do Foral": http://www.viv-foral.com/company.php?lang=en&file=profile
There I got as contact Jean-philippe from "Green Synergy" http://www.green-synergy.com/ who according the EAN CODE identifies the name of the citrus as "citrus lemon meyer" and later according to the plant photos confirms it... "
They were very helpfull what I can not say for local importer. _________________

That is right Millet , I really have no problem with it by beeing another citrus other than was on the label because I'm just begining to expand my collection so Eustis Limequat also called Limonella was not on my list.
Although they should really mark their products with the apropiate label so people will not get confused on what type it is.
I've sent them one email with some question , if they are serious with their nursery they shoul respond.
But you know what , after all the taste is very very good and resemble very very very well to the his relatives - lemons.
I'm quite satisfied with it right now , but as I said correct labeling is a must. |
