Can anyone offer some advice? My Meyer lemon tree is dropping leaves left and right. I have attached a couple of photos showing the whole plant and a close up of the leaves just before they drop. I purchased the tree earlier this year from a grower and have been using a Miracid fertilizer with it per their recommendation. It is in a sandy soil mix and I have yet to see a single bloom and only a few new shoots of leaves. Any advice would be great. Thanks

The medium looks too sogy. I would replace it with a high qulaity very porous medium. Although Stay away from the commonly recomended CHC, the pros are outweighed by the cons in my opinion. Add 1/2 strength organic citrus fertlizer until the tree is stable(not drooping leaves)container size looks fine and water only when dry, lift the container if unsure. Good luck and be patient.

Another alternative that I have used with success is pine bark. It is very cheap
And works extremely well.

I highly recommend CHC Cool ,moving all my Meyer citrus into CHC mix was the best ideea for 2010 . My trees are just doing very well.

But his is not the problem you have , I guess the tree is used to get a lot of food being in the nursery and once you take him home you don't fertilize him so often as it used to be or you should.

Also place him in a partial shade and not in the full sun, and let the soil to dry a little on the surface , the soil is saturated with water/

Good Luck
