Today when I took a look at my citrus, I noticed the following on my C. latifolia:

It only occurs on that particular part of the tree. Is this because the underlying branch is dying? It doesn't look like a lack of water to me but all input is very welcome. Wink

greets!

If that is in direct sun, new growth will wilt. Once it's out of the sun it should stand back up.

Young shoots do sometimes droop in sudden sun or heat.
Could also be some kind of die-back infection which is preventing sap reaching the new growth. The pruning cut seems very close to the node.
It is also best practise to sterilise tools with a dilute bleach solution before using on different citrus plants - although I admit I rarely bother myself!

In accordance with previous replies, keep that tree in a shade for a couple of days and observe how it behaves.
Watching forecast, temp at your location is on a rise now.

In addition to Lazz's and Citrange's suggestions, wilting can also occur when plants roots are in too wet. This can occur when the plant has too much water, or the pot is not draining well.

It can also happen after a cool night, followed by warm a sunny day. In this case, the roots are simply too cool to provide the water required to keep the leaves turgid. In this case, the leaves will perk up when the pot warms up.

I now see that the picture isn't all that clear perhaps. The branch on which you see the bended leaves is actually dying back very very slowly and I have cut off the dead part a couple of times now.
The dead part now started to reach the young leaves and I guess that's why they were dying (I already took them off since the attachement on the branch was already turning black).

It's not dying back because of root damage I think because when rootdamaged, the branches normally get brownish and flexible and now this large branch is dying from the tip down. The other leaves on the lower part of the branch are in good shape for now.

I was wondering if I could stop the branch from dying further?
I'll take some new picture right now!

Pictures:

This is where the bended brach was located in a nicer view Smile

2nd pic

new young leaves at a lower part on the same branch

the whole tree...you can see the dry part at the top left and also a bit lower where another branch splits up from the dying one. I wonder wether or not the branch will die back and make the other big branch die with it?

That's a very nice tree Sven, I am sorry to see that you may lose a branch or two.

Cheers

Bump...I was still wondering wether or not I can stop the dieback of the branch?

A small update:

this is what I am thinking about doing with the dying branch. I'm hoping someone can tell me that that is the right thing to do before I cut it off. Smile
