Gina emailed me 2-3 days ago saying she was ill & would be offline for awhile. She lives in SE Kansas & the tornadoes were about 300 miles west of her, so I'm sure she's OK.
It's almost unbelievable how in just a couple minutes a whole town can be wiped out! My mouth fell open when I saw home videos of it on news last night.

I used to live in a suburb outside of Kansas City, KS (Overland Park). We would have some absolutely wicked storms come through. Being a native Californian (hmm...I don't know if I should admit that or not), I thought the storms were quite exciting, but since I was renting, I didn't have the concern of loosing my home. When I moved back everyone thought I was crazy because we have earthquakes out here. I came closer to loosing my life running through a lightning storm than I ever have been in one of our tremblers. I'm still praying for my family back in Kansas City though. The forecast doesn't look good.

any one interested in what damage a EF 5 can do to a town..
Here is a web site a friend sent with photos take from the air of the aftermath of Greenburg..

Picture two is main street running from bottom left to top
right.

Picture 11 and 12 is the hand dug well and gift shop. The
green was the supports under the water tower.

Picture 14 shows the high school.

I could not look at them all, very scary, very sad. It is remarkable that more people were not killed. Crying or Very sad
