I've got my less than one year old meyer lemon tree sitting in a pot in a bay window now.

I have to unexpectedly be out of town starting tomorrow and won't be back until Monday evening. I don't have anyone who can come in and wet it down for me.

Since it's winter and the heat is on, my place is pretty dry right now. I've been running a humidifier but the water tank on that only lasts a day or so.

Does anyone have ideas on anything I could do to keep the tree from drying out? I'd hate to lose it. It has really taken off since I moved it indoors for the winter. I've got things tweaked so that it is humid and 85 degrees all the time in the window where it sits and I've been watering and fertilizing regularly. It has really taken off with a big flush of new leaves and branches.

You didn't told me the size of the pot. But I conclude that it is small.
By your name I can tell you live in a civilized country so it isn't a nightmare to find anything.

I am sure that you will find in a garden store or a supermarket something cheap just for your situation.
This is what I use: you stick it in the pot and the other one in a bottle of water I adjust the position of the bottle (up or down) until I get the right flow (2-3 drops a minute). I have paid for 2 of these under a dollar.

You can find a lot of "do-it yourself" kits on the internet.

Just off the top of my head something I thought of that will be a quick fix would be to put the pot in the bath tub and run about a inch of water. Just enough so that the roots at the bottom of the pot can get enough water to keep the plant alive. Another thing you could do is water the plant real good so that the soil is good and soaked and then get some plastic shrink wrap and wrap the whole pot up to the base of the tree so that it will seal the water and humidity in. Just a thought
