Hi All since your the experts i really need to tell you what i did with the 2 - 8 yr old Orange trees my neighbor gave me ...and see what you think

firstly we dug them up roots on both trees where wet and soggy.. plus so compacted into soil i thought air diffiency..
so i brought them home in a wheel barrol and left them in a dry area for 4 days with out the dirt but a burlap sack on them.. checking them daily ..
Now it rained those 4 days but the roots didnt get wet and stayed dry i also had perilite in the burlap sacks to keep the hot sun from scortching and kinda help dry them out .. yesterday i noticed new growth on the trees the black branches i have not cut off yet but will do so maybe later on this week i put them in a chc mix as per all of you and did not fertilize since nancy had stated she might of over fertilized them ...

But the mirical is the roots are looking Normal again the ones that where soaked are 50-50 ok some molded and i cut those off but the big main roots look good again .. should i keep you posted on this it may be something we could all do ..

It wasnt an on purpose thing.. i got my hand bit by Max when i seperated him from a ferral cat in a fight and my hand swelled Up so big i was typing left handed ... and using my pinky to hit some letters on the right hand Tammy

PS tree number 2 is looking Better but no new Limbs

Good Morning Tammy,
Please be careful with your hand, cat bites are the worst and can become infected very quickly so take care of you!
Hope your trees continue to improve, sounds like they are traveling on the right path! Joan
