Smoke from California fires has now moved into Colorado, making our skies very hazy. However, the smoke is making our sunsets gorgeous.- Millet

Hope you enjoy it more than I did. On the first day or two of the outbreak of many fires the smoke had a strong smell around my area even though the fires were far away. One day last week the smokey smell returned but now we just have haze again. Some days the smoke has been thick enough to make me wonder how much of an affect it has had on photosynthesis.

How's the temperature? Are all 'them green house gasses making your area heat up more?

What's interesting was when we had the fires here in San Diego, the Santa Ana winds blew the smoke out to sea. When the normal onshore flow returned, it blew it back.

Colorado had a cold winter, with record amounts of snow fall in the mountains, followed by a cold dry spring. Summer is now starting to act rather normal. Denver and the eastern plains normally get 30 days of 90+ temperatures each summer, but due to the altitude of 5,000 feet plus on the plains (Colorado's average altitude is 6350 ft). the nights normally fall into the 50's or low 60's. Makes for good sleeping weather. The altitude at my place is 5,440 feet. - Millet
