West indian aka Key Lime, true to type with little variation.
Tahiti lime, very highly variable from any seed found. but seem to be Citron or Lime variants.
Microcitrus australasica, Finger Lime, true to species, but variable fruit color etc. Likely to hybridize.
Poncirus trifoliata, true to species, somewhat variable.
Rootstock types usually have a very high % uniformity from seed, for practical purposes. Off types and sports commonly germinate, those less vigorous get culled or shaded out.

Citrus could be one or more of the following:

Nucellar, seed embryo produced asexually,(cloned) from the parent

Polyembryonic, multiple embryos per seed, mainly nucellar, some zygotic

Zygotic, embyros produced after pollination.

Self incompatible, plants (varieties ?) own pollen cannot fertilize own flowers. Self compatible is the opposite case,

Out crossing, plant produces viable pollen.

Grapefruits: All true

Oranges: All true

Satsumas: All true

Mandarins: Some do and some don't. Go here and they will tell you alot of what you need to know. Clementines don't come true and thats why they are used in alot of crosses. Changsha mandarin does. http://www.citrusvariety.ucr.edu/citrus/index.html

Kumquats: All kumquats come true except for Nagami. That is why most kumquat hybrids are made with Nagami being the seed parent/mother.

Kumquat hybrids: They all come true that I'm aware of (Example: Calamondin, limequats, Nippon Orangequat, Indio Mandarinquat, Yuzuquat, etc.)

Lemons: I'm not to aware of the lemon catagory as to what does what but I know Meyer lemon does not come true. As far as the eureka and lisbon lemons I don't think they do. Rough lemon does come true.

Limes: Key limes do come true and the Persian limes (the kind you most see in grocery stores) don't come true from seed. Rangpur limes do come true.

Poncirus Trifoliata and its hybrids: All Poncirus Trifoliata and hybrids that I know of come true from seed.

Sour oranges: Sour oranges come true from seed.

Papedas: Most don't come true (Ex. Kaffir lime, Ichang Papada) but papeda hybrids like yuzu, yuko, and sudachi do.

Pummelos: I don't know much about pummelos but from what I can gather they are a mostly monoembryonic group that doesn't come true from seed.

If there is something I missed please feel free to correct me because I'm far from a expert on citrus.

Citrus varieties that come true from seed. Almost all sweet oranges, true grapefruit, lemons, limes, pure mandarins, except for King and Clementine, most tangelos, hybrid tangerines, all Tangors except Temple. Kumquats, however kumquats are almost never grown from seed, as they do not do well on their own roots. Kumquats do best when grafted onto Trifoliate Orange root stock. Most pummelos do not come true. - Millet (1,138-)
