Congratulation Laaz!
What is your secret on making the budwoods grow so fast?
I have more than 10 buds that took but they are still small and not growing as fast as I want them to be.
Perhaps I should bud them onto the most active branch next time huh! And unto the most upper part of the tree.
I guess my faullt is I don't want to disfigure the look of the mother tree so I graft them to the most inconspicous places. And mostly on the lower branch and Millet said that that's where the roots get its nutrients. |

Hey Benny. I grafted the Clemenules to Swingle rootstock I grew. I don't graft to existing trees. I grow my rootstock & if I'm low on some I get more from Stan & Ned. _________________ Wal-Mart a great place to buy cheap plastic crap ! http://walmartwatch.com/ ...

Laaz, looks like you have quite the green thumb! Loved every pic (except it took along time to get them up!)
I loved the citrus guardian who posed with a smile on his face! He's a great dog! _________________ Patty

Good to see that everything is coming along nicely Laaz. You guys are always a few weeks ahead of us up here. Your Ugli fruit and Cocktail look great. This will be my first year of home grown Ugli so I am curious as to how it will look grown in our Southeast coast climate. You may expect some Cocktail fruit like this pretty soon:
The picture is a little deceiving because that one fruit was much larger and heavier than your average grapefruit and more the size of a large pummelo.
Your citrus guardian sure was nice to smile for your picture. He doesn't seem to have the same friendly expression whenever I come to visit |
