We got the second shot of cold air setting records for the date by about 3 degrees--- we were down to 27 this morning-- Bananas are definitly down for the winter, but citrus is all ok since it was covered. Seedlings will be inside for a couple days.

Same here Skeeter. It got down to 26 this morning and predicted to go to 23 tonight. I am going to use both the micro sprayers and a 150,000 BTU torpedo heater tonight.

Hi Karpes,
Tonight's predicted low here is only down to 28 so we should be OK with cover. What part of So LA are you in? I go over to Belle Chase area to duck hunt-- man they have some good naval oranges there--sweetest ones I ever had.

I live in New Iberia, near the Jefferson Island salt dome. You may remember a few years ago Texaco drilled a well that penetrated the salt mine and emptied the lake into the mine.
I posted some pictures over on the Inground forum that you may want to see. It didn’t make it down to the predicted 23-degree low. Still the 26-degree low that we received was enough to worry about.

I remember the picture of the Tug stranded when the dome was punctured! We also did not get as low as perdicted-- just 30 last night around 2 AM --then it started warming. I saw the pics of your micro sprinklers-- nice system.
