Thats certainly a first for me. Sprouting seeds inside a fruit is not all that rare, but coming through the skin is a first for me. - Millet (563-) |

this tomato is over 5 weeks old it was on the microwave wonder if that made the seeds sprout sooner not sure why they migrated to the skinn surface though about 2 weeks ago noticed bumps on the skinn than they started sprouting just cut the tomato yesterday and noticed the ones inside planted several of the pieces in diff areas _________________ in gardening there are no failures only learning experiances unless of coarse you give up |

Well at least the tomato did all the work for you. Now all you have to do is maintain them. |

Sorry for bumping up the old thread, but anyway...
An article in Daily Mail reminded me of this post. It doesn't look like something one should probably eat.
Here is the original source... Fukushima mutant vegetable images

guess it was just too hot when i tried to grow them. i talked to one of the tomatoe growers and he said its not all that uncommon on some of the heirloom varieties its just most people eat them before the seeds have a a chance to sprout _________________ in gardening there are no failures only learning experiances unless of coarse you give up |

I had to check up on you Mikey... I haven't seen you posting for a long time and those Fukushima tomatoes do not seem friendly at all. |
