1. Is it only effective on citrus that requires pollinators? Honeybell, Page, etc. Will it help production on my other trees? Meyer, Ruby Red etc..

2. When should it be applied, and in what concentration? Do I only use it at blooming time to help set fruit? Once a week?

3. Are the premixed products like "Megagro" effective enough, or do I have to become a chemist just to see a few more tangelos?

Thanks, Jack.

Use gibberellic acid (GA) at a spray concentration of 10-20 ppm at full bloom to increase fruit set. Yes, it is possible to use gibberellic acid on other citrus fruit, but generally GA is not used because most citrus can set fruit on their own. However, it would produce seedless fruit. I have never heard of Megagro, so I can help you there. - Millet

So at full bloom, spray the leaves wet. Does just one appplication work, or how often would I have to follow up?

You can get the leaves wet, but it only works if sprayed on flowers. Leaf applications won't do any good. Also, the fruit will be seedless only if they don't get pollinated as well.

I use GA3 every year, and it works great. If you have a hard time finding gibberellic acid, the common retail Tomato & Pepper Bloom Sprays that are sold at just about every garden center contains GA3, and therefore also works well. - Millet (1,174-)
