I tried answering this on the other forum before I noticed your question here.
Now I know he's from Norway, I believe the plant is a Norwegian Citruce - that well known hybrid of a Christmas Tree (Norwegian Spruce) and a Clementine.

Laughing So it should be really cold hardy, right? I guess I need to add a Citruce to my wish list. Laughing

However, I would assume it is just a seedling of something he picked up at the grocery store.

Okay, Bob. Until I got to your post and Laaz' response, we were in the same bucket. Oh boy. So, what the heck IS it? Very interesting. Does sort of look like a citrus leave with that little winged petiole? Very fascinating.

Even my wife doesn't get my jokes, so I suppose it's not surprising they don't cross the Atlantic too well.
As for those leaves, I'm still not sure. Are they definitely citrus? Could it be over-fertilisation? Or perhaps it's a Photoshop trick - if so, it's extremely well done!

Good idea, it's much warmer in the north of Europe compared to where I live right now! Very Happy I think it will become a new citrus growing area!
