I was out looking at my trees and started looking at the tags and when I grafted them. I noticed something very revealing. All of the successful grafts were done in either June or July. I had no successful grafts from the spring or fall, although some are still green, but have not grown. Although green, they look like they may be drying up.

I live in southern California. Is June or July the best time to graft or was all this just a freakish coincidence? All were cleft grafts.
