Lazz, your varagated FD is almost pure white. The amount of green chlorophyll is so small it almost seems that the tree would have a difficult time producing enouh photosynthates (sugars) to maintain itself. How long have you had the tree? Will be interesting to see. - Millet

Hi Millet. That is a photo of the mother plant. I only have two small budded plants from this source plant.

Hey Laaz, Boy that is a pretty Var. plant! I am with Millet, I would LOVE to know how it produces enough food for itself. Does it stay in Full sun or have you found it does better in more shade? That may have something to do with it.

Laaz, that is one gorgeous tree! Where is the mother plant? I have ordered a couple of the var. satsumas from Plant Tech's supplier. She (Debbie?) does not ship herself, but her supplier (from Belle Chasse, LA) makes deliveries to my local feed store and I got him to add a couple of 3 gal. trees to their order for me! He also said he has some 10 gal. size. OMG, if I had my full size greenhouse built, I would be buying those suckers now!

Hi Casa. Glad it worked out for you. 10 Gal ? I may have to make a trip to LA in the spring. Anyway, a season in the ground & these should be 10 Gal or larger in size.

Hi Casa. Sorry didn't read all of your post. The mother plant is in a private collection in NY. I have also been told there is a nice specimen of variegated standard Poncirus in TX

The FD is starting to bud out. I will post photos throughout the next week as it buds out. Right now it looks like most of the new growth is almost white... Here are photos of two of them. I may have two different strains, we will see. I have three other plants that have a different variegation, but are inground & have not budded out yet.

Thanks Benny. These are some really strange plants... Will have to see how they look when they are fully budded out. The buds come out a yellow color & then the leaves turn almost white.
