Full sun ,no wind , and maybe if you have a green house you will be ok .. ill send you 10 seeds if you still want it ...but so far my friend sent me his mom and his daughter all 1 plant and 50 seeds i have 3 plants and thats 2 out of the 50 seeds ....his Mom and Daughter s plants and seeds didnt make it .. i was flagging and watered the plants like 3 months after i got it watered the first time... I was like omg... it will be dead but when i went to look it was thriving.. DO NOT spoil this plant... i use Guppy water as water and fertilizer ..I could also if you want... send you some of the Varigated plant (japaneese holly hock) Tammy

the suposed dragon fruit sure looks a lot different than mine, but there are sooo many varitieties, I'm sure there'll be variations. the dragon fruit is a crazy fast grower! (9 inches in 1 week, just on one of the branches) They need to be 10lbs before they'll be at the fruiting stage.

Tammy, that is a dragon fruit. I have a red & yellow. Almost looks like blossoms starting on yours, but I posted a site here few months ago that said they don't start fruiting till they weigh 9-10 lbs, but that was for a red.
Hey, post more pics of it in a little while--- I'm curious how those new growths come out! Definately a dragon fruit.

I'll have to take a new pic, its grown like mad since the one pic I DO have and its not a great pic. All I know is the damn thing is going to take my house over by the end of summer with the way it grows! averaging 3/4" - 1 1/4 inch per day. the growth alternates on the different arms of the plant with a new arm/branch started every other day or so. 2 branches when it started... no clue what I'm at now, prolly 10. I'm sure it'll grow more as its really starting to take off more than ever now. I dont know what variety it is or anything... sure am hoping to get fruit from it next year though but would be even better THIS year... just not sure when they flower, fruit.

I do know they can fruit, flower when immature... if under stress and think its dying, but the quality isn't good... so I do want to be sure its healthy first... which it must be to growhe way it does
