In 2002 I collected seeds from a finger lime tree in the Citrus Variety Collection at Riverside. I distinctly remember the fruits were black.
This year one of the seedlings has fruited well. One fruit developed from an early spring flowering and is now spectacularly red.


Other fruits from an early summer flowering are not yet mature but a deep black-purple colour.
