Hi Everyone

Can anybody tell me why my lemon trees are loosing all of their leaves at this time of the year in Thailand?

Is it because the temperature at night is as low as 15 deg C.?

No. You better look for parasites like mites or check the roots for root rot.
It could also be physiologic shock like drought.
No treatment against weeds around?

Mike, I know you have some of your plants growing in containers, and some planted in the ground. Where is the lemon in question planted? - Millet (747-)

Hi Millet

I have 12 lemons in 10" pots, three of which have lost their leaves. the other 9 are OK. I have another four trees DIG with no problems at all.

Max temp in the last two weeks is around 24 -26 C. & min temp for the last month is 15-22 C. Do you think I should take the three suspect trees out of the pots to invetigate?

I have a very effective spray for catapillars made here in Thailand that seems to work well. From time to time I have found woolly aphid on many of my plants, not just the lemons. The only way to get rid of them is by hand.

I have been lucky with my lemons; I bought them in Tesco UK. They origially came from South Africa. I managed to get 32 trees from four lemons. They are just over a year old now. I have given some away too!

Regards Mike

Sure, just carefully slip the three trees from their containers and check the roots. You can turn the container upside down, holding the soil with you hand, and slap the bottom of the container to release the root ball. - Millet (746=)
