one member of local croatian forum asked a question about kumquat. His kumquat blossoms every year a month later then the last year. is that normal for juvenile kumquat? _________________ i am in love with lemon |

I guess it waits till fruits are ripe.
So if it takes more than a year, the bloom gets later year for year ... |

My Kumquats always are the last to bloom. They all start blooming in June. They are all in the ground and produce large crops.
My Eustis limequat started blooming mid-June and will continue to bloom until the first frost (End of Dec).
They do go well with Corona. _________________ Wal-Mart a great place to buy cheap plastic crap ! http://walmartwatch.com/ ...

Yes, slices of Limequats do well in beer, that has not really a good taste by
itself ..

Phytophthora infection can cause "a brown, oozing gum (like dark, thick
honey) on the trunk and branches". _________________

I cut back as much as possible, till i saw no red dot anymore in the middle of the braches ,and treated the stumps with anti fungus from bayer,on a sulfur base.
Till now i see no red gum poring out anymore.
Clean,t my sheare with alcohol.
Will see if i get this under control. _________________ Grad

I suggest to treat the WHOLE plant.
If it is Phytophthora or another fungus, then the hyphs surely are all inside the plant already. |

Against phytophthora sulfur is not efficient. Only fosetyl based stuff like Aliette from Bayer can help. _________________ Best regards,
