Several years ago Citrus Joe gave me a small Diamante citron tree. However, as time passed, my collection got way too large, and it was getting to the point that the collection was taking too much of my time to properly care for all of them, I gifted the Diamante into the compost pile, along with all of the other citrus varieties in my collection at that time, that did not produce eatable fruit. Trees like Buddha Hand, the Australian types, Trifoliate hybrids, Citrange varieties, and so on. This reduction gave me a lot of extra time to better care for the trees that actually produce sweet fruit. My wife also stopped hounding me about spending all my weekends in the greenhouse. One thing that I can say about Citrus Joe, is that he is a very generous person. He certainly gives a lot of plants away to his friends, and even to people that he corresponds with on the Internet, people who he has never met. I have not talked to Citrus Joe in a year or so, but the last I heard, Joe was going to greatly down size his citrus collection, so he can devote more time to other tropicals. Joe purchased some land in Missouri, and is going to be moving there after his retirement. - Millet (1,317-)
