So, I'm driving home after getting the kids from school and taking them to McDonald's for their every other Friday treat and it starts to rain (Thank G), I'm thinging no big deal we really, really need it. We were suppose to have rain the past 2 days but nothing, not even a rain cloud. So, like I said it started to rain and about 2 miles later it gets heavier (not bad) and the wind starts to pick up. The next thing I know is that we are being pelted by hail. My kids did not know what was going on. I pulled over into the next driveway and pulled under a small tree. They asked what was happening and I told them ice balls were falling with the rain and I parked under the tree to protect us from the glass getting broke and the car from being dented from the hail. They were looking out the window (at the ground) at the hail bouncing around and of course the wanted it to stop (they were excited but didn't like it). As soon as we got home my daughter wanted to check her plants and mine (so did I) and we found that the Valencia lost a bunch of leaves and fruitlings, everything else seemed to be o.k. even the egg sacks which are in the tank under the table on the patio.
So, anyways it was exciting, I guess New England weather missed us and wanted to say HI!.
