I just pulled the trigger on a 100' roll of 18" wide Rootbuilder II. I got some ideas and recommendations from Wayne who works for them, just want to get some thoughts here. Here's the plan - my current pots are either 3 gallon or 10 gal., 14" diameter on the big ones. Citrus trees are robust and producing. I'm thinking of cutting a 6'7" strip of the Rootbuilder, wrapping it so that it's about 18" diameter but leaving enough to finish out at 24" in a couple of years by retying it. Just want to start or continue the root tip pruning now in a smaller pot. The pots were treated with Griffin's Spin-Out.
Bottomless pots will go on native clay loam protected in a greenhouse so that they will anchor on in.
