This is a great link on mandarins and clementines and conditions needed for seedless varieties.

Skeet, thanks. I have posted the same exact link earlier in May of this year. I hesistated to use SEX in the title for fear of censorship. Here's the original topic posted in the news section of the forum:

That just goes to show that as much as I have read through older post there is still much usefull info on this forum!

I found the article while searching the web for information on clementines-- we have been buying them at Sam's and I just love them.

If they come from Sam's Club they must have been grown in China. - Millet

The ones that I got recently were from Spain. I think the variety is Nules. They are easy peeling, sweet and totally seedless. I am eating one now Smile

Don't tell that to Millet. He hates Sam's Club,... (who owns Wallyworld)..
....And for good reasons.

You also get them from Costco.

But the best place to get them when they are in season is from Benny's or my yard, Smile They are sweeter in our yard than from Sam's or Costco.

Unfortunatly, we don't have a Costco around here and I have not seen the clementines anywhere else. In the grocery stores around here we can find satsumas, tangerines, and oranges (naval and valencia) -- Sam's is the only place we can get the clementines -- at least until I get them in my yard!
