...besides the annoying marketing ploy of the grower to TM that name to target kids and moms? While they usually are pretty tasty, I'd prefer to add them to my mandarin tree. I'm guessing they're a Nules???? Any thoughts are appreciated- I've missed frequenting the forum!

From their website.

California Cuties are actually two different fruits: Clementine Mandarins and Murcott Mandarins. Clementine Mandarins are harvested from November through January; Murcott Mandarins from Feburary through April. Both Mandarins are held to the same high growing standards, so theyre always sweet, seedless, easy to peel and the perfect size for kids and grownups alike.

Thanks, Laaz, I did see that. I am wondering if there is a specific clementine they grow (like nules or another seedless), or, do you think there's much of a difference between varieties to notice?

I read or heard sometime ago that the cuties varieties cycle out every two weeks or so as different cultivars are ready. So there are probably a dozen varieties that go into them with the average consumer none the wiser.
I've definitely gotten some good batches and some poor batches so if you find a variety you like mark it on your calendar and buy some more next year at the same time.
