i thought i would try germinating some papaya seeds (these are from the hawaiian type) and quite a few of them sprouted. now i am not sure what kind of medium to put them in. should i used the same medium that my lemon seedlings are in? (50%peat moss, 50%perlite with the oscomote type slow release fertilizer)

thanks for you help.

Soil-less pot media is probably best in your area. They dont seem to like their roots to be cold and wet in winter. You might want to drop the peat content to get a higher air filled porosity than with the 50%/50%. Or change the grade of perlite to create more air space.
