Please see these images - Not sure what is going on. I just noticed these spots on the trunk when I brought the tree outside today. Recently repotted into container with pinebark, peat, perlite, sand.

I am suspecting root rot, but would really appreciate any advise on how to treat this.

For the sake of convenience I've added direct image links to your original post.

I wouldn't say it's root rot, since the tree looks healthy otherwise. Picture is kinda blurry, so I would not speculate.

Thanks for that. I'll see if I can get better photos, but it is difficult to focus in a close-up.

The spots are primarily towards the top the trunk and are most dense just below the canopy of the tree, which may point away from a root-rot explanation.

It just seems to have developed very quickly. Overall, the tree has been very slow to grow this spring and has had minimal budding/flowering. By this time last year, it was completely full of flowers.

Maybe this helps a little bit - It's really tough to capture a good photo, but the one side of the trunk is just covered in dark spots.
