well many yrs ago ( when i was 16 maybe 17) i Trained horses for the King Ranch. well as a gift they let me pick one to take home .
I picked out a scrawny colt he wasnt catchable they said LOL .
well i got him with care and friendship and about 5 buckets of Oats.
became his friend Gained his trust and did alot of worming on this Boy.
he loved to play games like knock tammys hat off her head run up as fast as he could to the cowboys and me and make them ditch him id stand still. he would stop and lick my face .
was a Awesome specimen.. i named Him Playboy ..
well the owner of the Ranch John my friend told me i had to be able to pass a test since i was in my young teens and he didnt want me to get hurt so i only had to train 5 horses aday mostly colts .
out of them all playboy was the fastest smartest and the only one that had never been caught befor i became his friend . he was also never wormed there for skinny and loaded with Bugs.
i wormed Playboy 3 times in 6 months got his Vaccines and all his Paperwork up to date . the big day came for he test.
to walk him behind 17 mares in heat some just comming in some in and some Full blown.
i did it and he didnt even flench a muscle then it came time to show John i could ride him i said with or with out a saddle . I dont know if john knew it or not but Playboy hadnt liked the saddle yet. so i rode bare back and did everything we where told including a full run to the pond . OK i went swimming but so did playboy . here is a picture of him at 2 yrs 6 months comming back from texas at my ranch in coquille where he was stollen and i was shot . I will be bragging now I am the only one who was given a gift of a horse from the king ranch since i picked playboy they gave me a mare to go along with him.. and once astablished playboys stud fee went to 7000.00 a mare. Play boys was the begening of my Quarterhorse ranch and the way to buy another stallion mardel Dixon.
