I would just like to let everyone know I am back in a
limited capacity until I have some surgery.

I had a mild stroke & was also diagnosed with
Diabetes which I never had before. I started having problems
in early winter. When I went to the doctor they said it was
food poisoning... That was probably the beginning of the
diabetes... Then I had a mild stoke from what they told
me... I have a blockage in an artery in my neck & will
have surgery at the end of May to have it cleaned out...

I know a couple people are waiting for plants they
ordered in the fall. If anyone ordered something they didn't
get, please IM me the details and I will take care of you.

I see some have started a new forum & if that's
where you want to be, it's fine with me. I have made
Sylvain, Mike & Patty admins here so that we wont have a
problem like this again. I hope everyone understands the
situation & I am sorry for the delay. This health issue
really scared the shit out of me.

Thanks to everyone for making this a great forum.

Todd (Laaz)

Todd, this is a scary thing to deal with, no doubt about it. I am glad that you're on the mend, and I know you'll do just fine through the procedure. I am sorry the docs didn't do a simple blood test way back, when you were first feeling poorly. They may have caught the diabetes a little earlier. But, you're on the mend now, and that's the thing. Keep us posted, we're all pulling for you!

Good to have you back. I was willing to wait. I was just starting to post this:

Years ago I met Stan McKenzie through the South Eastern Palm Society. I was so pleased to find other people that were interested in citrus. I appreciated these members that were ready to share what they knew about citrus.
Then Stan told me about a guy named Todd that was starting up a citrus forum. Most of the first members were from the citrus part of the South Eastern Palm Society.

It didn't take long till Laaz's forum started to draw people who were well educated in citrus care.
So now some are saying that the forum is closed. Well the fact that you can post here means the for isn't closed. It is closed to new members for now. It may close eventually if someone doesn't pay for the "Upforum" web page.
The tropical fruit forum doesn't have my interest. I think I would just email those that I know. And visit sepalms.org.
I think I would do fine with the old crew on the forum. With the large number already on the forum it would take a long time to miss not having new members.
I think I'll wait to see what Laaz does.

Hello Laaz,
I'm not a great contributor, but I particularly appreciate the technicality of your advices and the wisdom and kindness with which you manage this forum.
It's good to know you back. Hoping that very soon your health problems are finally solved.
All the best for you

Thanks everyone. I am feeling quite a bit better. I still have to have surgery to clean a artery in my neck at the end of the month. Hopefully it all goes well, I am very paranoid of surgery...
