And could barely type. Hope to recover soon. I think I was overworked with that arctic blast. Had to mourn for my fishes, avocadoes and guava trees. None of my citrus fruits were damaged one bit. Very few damages to the leaves and branches of citruses on the topmost uncovered part. I have won all rounds against the arctic blast for all of my citruses but have to pay a heavy price too.... |

Hope you get better soon. With all of that running around, covering up and waking up at all hours of the morning it is a no wonder you got sick. |

Joe, my friend, I never lost faith that your citrus would surely survive the weather, due to the care you provide your trees, especially the 50:1 tree. Take care of yourself. - Millet |

Take care of you Joe, I can only imagine all you have been through. Seeing pictures on TV of the fans etc, reminded me of when I was living in southern Oregon and all the high school kids were recruited on frost nights to help light the smudge pots. Lots of work trying to keep all those trees warm, get some rest! _________________

Get well soon Joe. I had a bout with something for a week that is still clearing up. Lots of good chicken soup & well deserved rest for you-- knowing the worst is over.
Maybe I can help replace some lost fruit trees for you? _________________ Patty

Sorry for being late in joining the discussion, but I was swamped helping my partner get ready to plant some cherries tomorrow. Joe, sorry to hear you have not been feeling well and best wishes for a full and speedy recovery. Maybe you need to take that van for another trip...not too far, but just far enough to see some beautiful sights and relax a bit. _________________ Harvey |
