ok here's my situation. I had a small 5lbs bag of granular, water soluble fertilizer in what I thought was an airtight container.

The container was under a table outside. We got some much needed and rare rain last week and some moisture got into the container.

Now the fertilizer is... well kind of a mush... It was a nice colorful assortment of little white, blue, green, etc granules.

Since this was a water soluble fertilizer it would seem to me the chemical makeup is the same and would be fine to continue to use. There are no signs of mold anywhere.

Should I try to dry it out, leave as is and continue to use or toss it altogether? If toss it is the answer please explain why?

Any ideas?

Thanks,
John

You can still use it the way it is, or if you wish, you can dry it and re-grind it, then use. I have been in the same situation several times. - Millet

Chemically nothing has changed, but it may begin to crystalize and could turn into a rock hard mass.
