From the early trials, it is easy to remember why S-7 and S-9 were assigned as it correlated with their Solubles to Acid Ratios:
Miyagawa: approx 12
S-7: approx 7
S-9: approx 9
Average number of seeds:
S-7: 0.1 seeds/fruit
S-9: 0.4 seeds/fruit
fruit size:
S-7: small: 5 cm
S-9: medium: 5.4 cm
Soluble solids:
Miyagawa: approx 6.2
S-7: approx 7.4
S-9: approx 7.2
The China Satsuma S-9 is publicly available for order in the early release budwood program of CCPP. With you in Turkey, that could be a problem.
I have my buds of S-9 sprouting already and would take about 18 months from this summer to get fruit from it.
