With all defference to those in Detroit Very Happy

Its in a ~2 gal planter in CHC/Coir, and its been a bit breezy. It was so potbound when I got it that I did un-spiral some roots and point them downward.

I dont know how to keep it growing upright without cramming the CHCs in and risking root damage. I dont want it to let it get more bad habits and eventually fall over.

Any suggestions?

If your gonna repot it maybe you could kinda slop it the other way so it looks straight ..My banana tree is doing that too like the Tower in london LOL..

i repotted her and put a slop in the one side of the pot once she was looking straight i filled in with the rest of the soil and she is now standing still so maybe a correction was made if not when i put her in the ground she will be shaking hands with the grass..LMAO tammy

that is brilliant Smile
Ive got some PFTE (plumbers tape) and some med-thin plant bamboo stakes. Thanks!

Ive straightened out one of my Gurneys bent-up seedlings taping it to bamboo but I hadnt thought of using it as an anchor on the x, z axis!

well< I repotted it, and put a trimmed bamboo stake inside the diameter of the pot to tie it to, and it fried the other day.

Hasnt even gotten that hot here, and I had waterered it a day or 3 ago. When my fiance found it like that, he brought it in, watered it, and put the humidifier on it (how sweet!). no limb dieback right now, but all the leaves are crispy.

So, public service announcement- please watch your CHC potted babies carefully as the weather warms.

it had some seroius dieback after the crispy incident, but it is now pushing new leaves all over! I think all of this seasons' tender growth died, but its not that bad. I just kept it out of the direct sun for a week or 2 and now its getting better. Closest Ive come to losing a tree, and it fixed itself....

Good for you Garnet! I have a few trees that lost many leaves & some that got "crispy" for no apparent reason, but they now have flushes of new growth...whew!
They are calling for rain next few days...might have to bring some in so they don't get waterlogged...we'll see.
What a cold, ugly spring we are having! How about you?
