Frank you better hit the lottery soon. Those trees are going to grow & you are going to need to continue to expand your protection. How about some photos ?

You are certainly breaking new ground! Hopefully you will never have to deal with psyllids and greening there in Boston.

well I think it is more of an obseccion than anything (excuse the spelling).

I will have to break out the camera before I button it all up. It has been cold with low temps in the low 20's on several nights.

Just wondering if you have any updated pics of the trees?
Pics of the set up inside and out would be great!!

Hi Baby,

Well that would be best in the spring, you might check the previous one I post where I had the problem with the Kumquat.....

Presently they covered in snow (thankfully), and havent seen 32 f yet.

It is suppose to get very cold here (below 0 f) so I might have to go to plan B for heat!

75f, if you do let me know,,,, if I was to do it over I would do it differently.... you might wait to see how mine do this winter.......

I tend to cover and uncover (blanket) during the winter although not as much this time of the year, the snow helps a bit.....

Since there is no growth, it is probably counter productive....

It was nice to pick fresh chilled satusmas and kumquats (last year).

I bet I got 50- 100 off that tree

well I have 3 enclosures, the 3rd is on the south side of the house. It houses (inground)2 kumquats, 2 meyers, 2 small tangerines and a potted meyer. unfortunately I lost some insullation on a night it was -5 f. The enclosure got to 21 and was cold most likely for 14+ hours. In addition I somewhat purposely didnt let these go dormat... So enclosed are a few pics of enclosure 3 outside and in. Looks like I lost all my tiny meyers and the new flowers and some leaf damage to the meyers, could have been worse

The lush looking picture is area 2, which hasnt seen the sun in a month or so

So again I have 3 enclosures, 1 has all cold hardy citrus, A Thom citraquat fell off the tree, it was actually ripe and very good!!!

the other 2 enclosures are growing well and I have 6 lemons and 2 satsumas. The satsuma didnt produce much after the banner year last year.

Alsoin my climate I got very little growth on my Kumquat, it was a very cold spring

MODS, you might want to move the whole thread to the other section

thanks Frank
