Get a tree to be more bushy than tree like? I want a fuller tree... a couple I have are just single tall branched with leaves off the trunk. no other branches.

really would like to know how to get them to be extra bushs... if they could even be extra bushy

Depending on how tall the single trunk is at present you can clip the top off to encourage side branching. If it were my tree I would do nothing at all. When the tree is ready it will branch on it's own. Choose what ever you wish. - Millet

the one, my unknown citrus is about 3ft tall. its starting to brank out a bit... but... its also a seedling and it would kill off a lot of years from fruiting if I were to cut.

I may cut a few of my key lime and my one meyer to start branching. the one meyer is 18" tall and its well, a stick with leaves. Needs a bit more to it

It would not take off any years by clipping the top. It will force more growth below. In fact if you look at any grafted trees you will see that the grower let the tree get to a certain height & clipped the tree as well to force lower growth. Seedlings have a tendancy to grow very tall and spindly if you do not clip the top.

well, I'll wait till my trees start to get over the shock... then the top with be cut back, at least on the one variety. The others... I think will be ok for now.
