Organic means using natural fertilizer and fewer chemicals, as well as taking other steps to revert back to the older, slower and less-productive ways of growing crops.. The company now manages more than1,000 acres of citrus groves that include 15 different family-owned farms, and is growing as conventional groves transition to organic, Mclean said this morning.
