About 30 t-buds that are growing in the ground were unwrapped today after they had been budded about 3 weeks. Every bud was green and alive. They were lopped about an inch above the bud.

Congratulations Buddinman. I did worse than you.

I budded about 540 all over California, a few have sprouted before lopping off, about 50 died out in the heat, the rest are still green and healthy. I'm preparing to T-bud again.

None of the Jincheng budwoods have successfully taken, all of the grafters that I've shared budwoods with, including mine. Must be a bad batch or did not like the preparation processing and inspection at UCR before they were shipped out.

Again, I have plenty of non-takers on my Satsuma plant. Will have to rebud again when it cools down this Saturday. Hoping that the timing will be right this time.

Mr. Childers:
If I understand your statement above you wrapped the t-buds you t-bud 3 weeks ago?
If so, how did you wrapped them with? Thus those buds were in dark place for 3 weeks?
And please expand your statement" They were lopped about an inch above the bud".
