Hi everyone. I just brought a lime tree labelled "Mexican Lime" thinking that it is the Key Lime/Mexican Lime which I've heard has a better limey flavor then the Tahitian Lime. But upon later reading of the label it says it is "Kusaie Mexican Lime" which i think may differ to the Key/Mexican Lime. Can someone clear up is the Kusaie, Mexican & Key limes one & the same or different. ALso while I'm here whats the difference between Bearss Lime & Tahitian are these the same??
Cheers

OK so Bearss, Tahitian & Persian are all the same. Mexican/Key Lime are different to Kusaie. Thats a bummer i wanted the mexican/key lime for cooking/cocktails. Whats the flavor like of the Kusaie has anyone tried? does it have that distinct limey flavor??

Actually they are not same, but have same origin and very similary taste.

For myself Tahitian has best taste of that group.

I think you should give that plant back and get another.

Key lime is very easy from seed & will produce fruit in it's second year.

Bearss, Tahitian & Persian are almost identical & seedless. The Key lime has seeds & is much smaller in size.
