I started picking figs today-- picked a couple quarts for fig preserves. I posted a recipie on the recipie page.

COOL!, i dont have a fig tree but my neighbors is coming over our fence... it is almost 12' tall and we get to enjoy some fruit as well (:! they are getting close to being readyy too!

I picked about a half gallon today and they are really starting to ripen now. Thanks skeet, I had not thought to check until your post. Got to get them before the birds. Mocking birdÂ’s love them as well as bees do.

I know what you mean about the birds-- my first indication that they were ripe was one I saw on the groung on the other side of my house--thanks to the birds!

Hey all. My celeste really produced alot of figs. So many that I had to find a recipe to use some up. I posted it in the recipe section under "fig cookie turnovers". I hope everyone else has had a good crop. Enjoy!- Vinny
