Hi.

Is it me, or the SEARCH function on this site is NOT very good?

Every time I do a search, being very specific as I can, I still get TONS of results. 99% of the results are not even related to what I am searching for.

Just a rant....

There are two options, one of them is search for ANY term...

and the other one just below it is search for ALL terms.

You should type in the same box though, after you click the proper radio button.

then hit enter...

worked every time for me. I'm using FireFox, the latest and greatest.

It's not very good, but I don't really have your problem. Typically when I get too many results it is because I don't select the box that says "search for all words".

The two problems I have with the search function are:
1) It doesn't allow me to make multiple searches right after each other. I often make a mistake with my first search and then have to redo it, but it won't let me.
2) Half the time it spits out a bunch of error messages.

Anyway, the Forumup is upgrading to phpbb 2.0.23, but who knows if it will fix any of the problems. I have starting a gospel forum on my domain using SMF 1.1.4 (http://www.simplemachines.org/), but I don't know at this point if that platform is any better since I'm just getting started. I believe I read that JoeReal dabbles in software development. He might know.

An alternative is to use Google with the site: directive.
