I put a graft of Orient pear on my next door neighbor's Bradford pear tree at least 5 years ago. I don't even have a pear tree any more. These are the first fruit. The house is vacant now with the house selling for back taxes next month.

Do the pears have good flavor. I tried to grow a peach tree 5 years ago and the fruit would always fall off. The tree was infected with canker disease and died so I just gave up with peaches and pears.

Have you tried to grow Kiwifruit?
