				| It looks like my seedlings will be back in the shop for a week! The weather channel is predicting a low in the upper 30's for tomorrow night--with a high in the low 50's. Two days ago they were predicting 2 nights with lows in the mid to upper 40's.
Is there any need to cover my inground plants with new growth at these temps--especially the new buds? Not much chance of frost since it will be windy with these temps.

				| Several years, I always say, whatever happened to spring? It was winter yeterday, it is summer today!
Not this time, we have the best spring ever! Reliable temperature in the highs from 70's to 80's, and the lows are from 43 to 52 deg F. For almost a month, it has always been like this ideal temperature. Of course, there is a downside that it came with the driest rainfall in a decade.

So I emphatize with you guys. But why don't you enjoy with me?

My stone fruits are starting to lean over from the bumper fruit sets, and I had no time to really thin them out. It seems that the strong winds are not enough to thin them out.

 I'm not complaining this time...

				| Skeet in Florida, Laaz, Ned and Stan in South Carolina, Benny and Joe Real in California suffering from temperatures below 40F. Today here in beautiful Colorado it is snowing and my greenhouse heaters are running. Outside it freezes almost every night and can continue until May 10th. Tonight low will be 15F. On the bright side we have no bugs, no hurricanes, no earthquakes, no citrus diseases, and rarely suffer from sun burn. Next to spring, winter in Colorado is still my most favorite season of the year. - Millet | |

				| Millet,
31 forcast tonight for Port Royal, SC, and I doubt it gets there. I think Stan's is like 25. Still, from my point of view, that has 15 beat by a mile. I would hate to have to feed a greenhouse heater through one of your winters - and until May 10. Wow! And doesn't Colorada have something called tornados ... and snowstorms? Good that you like it though! Someone has to stay out there and grow our wheat.

				| Depending on who you go by we are supposed to be anywhere from 29 - 31. Like Ned said I doubt it gets that cold though... I did have to cover the veggie garden though. I'll be getting up a 6 am to mist all the citrus trees as they are all loaded up with small fruit... _________________

				| Ned, the wheat is looking good this year. The snow storms were heavy and plentiful. It is snowing again today, with tonight's low will be around 14. This years greenhouse heating bill was a little over $4,000.00 dollars. If you guys take care of the girls in the bikinis, the palm trees, the bananas, papayas, and the sunshine, I'll come and visit you all at the next citrus expo in Georgia. I had close to 60 inches of snow this year, and Wolf Creek, Colorado had just over 27 1/2 FEET of snow. My favorite season of the year is spring, followed by a colorful fall, then winter. My least favorite season of the year is summer. See you all at the Citrus Expo 2007. - Millet | |

				| It dropped to 35 at my house. No frost at all. Airport reported 31.
Hope everyone has a great Easter.

Millet I don't know how you can take that cold for such a long period. I remember when I was a kid growing up in upstate New York, we had some days where the high was -15 F & the lows dropped to -30 with a wind chill of -50... Never again !

				| I am not sure what it hit here.....being just a little up the road from Laaz and by the airport, I covered all the citrus with blankets and plastic and a thermometer in there with them. They dropped to 33.4
I wasn't taking any chances. I too have lots of fruit and flowers.
When I left to play for Sunrise Service, I had to scrap a little frost off the truck..this was at 5:15am
Hope everyone is having/had a nice Easter!
 Darren
