Thanks Marc!

I am very excited about my tree and I can't wait till it starts to bloom! I have a fan blowing on it with alternating speeds as well as 4 CFL's covering the red and blue spectrums with over 300 watts of power total. I have been putting it outside when on sunny days but there won't be sun for the next few days so I am going to leave it under the lights until then.

Last time I posted I accidentally started a new Thread. From now on all updates will be done through this thread. Just some pictures of the new growth.....growing:

I have also been supplying my tree with more than 12 hours of light for the past two days, closer to 15-20 hours of light. I have only seen benefits. Please tell me if this is going to hurt my plant or keep it in vegetative stage and not allow it to bloom.

Thanks,
Doc Citrus

How come the leaves are so glossy? Did you spray the tree with anything?

Mark,

Everyone has asked me this, I sprayed them down with a fungicide almost a week ago now. They have be wiped down with a sponge, sprayed down with water and cleaned off. The shine is there forever. Some leaves are shiny and some aren't. As far as I can tell the leaves are totally clean and growth hasn't been hindered. What do you think about the extra light? Will this negatively affect the bloom stage of the tree?

Thanks,
Doc Citrus

The extra light should not hinder blooming. 15 hours is about the normal daily span of light during the middle of summer. 20 hours a day is a bit much. - Millet (243 BO-)

WeeeeeeeHaaaaaaa!!! I am excited there is little, and a few big, shoots of new growth on every branch! I may have overfertilized a smidge, I will see over the next few days. I am going to give her only plain water with a little vinegar for my next watering. Laughing

That's a very nice looking tree!
I'm kinda wondering if moving the tree inside - outside won't be too much of a shock for the tree?
Also, isn't the container quite large for such a small tree?

Sven, I hear you on the shock. I don't think it's as big of a shock as you would think because I have it under some pretty intense artificial light and it also receives sun through the window at the same time. Then I usually put it outside which is just increased sun but no artificial light. I don't think this is as big of a change as it seems. It is almost like going from inside, to shade, to full sun except its going from 300 watts of light + sunlight, to full sunlight. It looks to be very happy and I don't think it has been shocked at all. Smile Thank you for your concerns though.

Oh, and as for the pot: I wanted to get something I could keep it in for at least a year I think I will be able to do so with this pot.

Thanks

Okay Fellas I have a lot of pictures of the new growth to update you:

Here is the one budding section (I have seen no other budding areas so far):
Uploaded from the Photobucket Android App

Here are some other areas I have shown previously. They have really come along the past couple days:

Uploaded from the Photobucket Android App

(THIS ONE IS HUGE! all new growth):

(These were just a couple mm's the other day):

(little sprouts, "late bloomers"):

(Another big guy and a couple little friends below. You may be wondering what is hanging around that leaf? Well it is a necklace and it is bending down a leaf so that the new growth can get direct light. the leaf gets stronger and the new growth grows better/faster...win win.) :

(Lastly, but not least another cluster of leaves coming in in a beautiful twisting formation):

Enjoy,
