Any suggestions for mealy bugs?

I've tried a lot- AZ41, Neem Oil, Organocide (ugh!). Nothing seems to keep them away.

A blast of water from the hose sprays them off, but in a week or two they are back just as bad.

Adding a tablespoon of soap or other surfactant to the the mix may help. Mealy bugs have a waxy coating that keeps the insecticide from getting to them. I will tell you that lady bug larva love them, and I always check the see if they are present before spraying.

Thank you.

There's always a trade off, isn't there. When we moved from WI to TN we got warmer weather, but more pests.

In WI I'd get whiteflies, mealies, and spider mites on my plants in the winter. As soon as I moved them outdoors, the pests would disappear.

Here in TN we even have whiteflies on our outdoor plants, mealies too. The humidity seems to keep the spider mites away.

Still, better than shoveling snow!

Yep. Here we get bugs plus sweltering hot weather. Here lately we have been getting almost daily afternoon showers to boot. At least the rain has broke the drought in many areas.
