I'm looking for a dwarf banana (AAA Cultivar) that can be tamed in a container and also fruit. What I can come up with is I'm limited to cultivars like dwarf cavendish, gran nain, dwarf red jamacian, double mahoi. Anyone get any of those to fruit in a pot? It would be outside of course during the spring/summer/fall and brought in during winter. I'm willing to put it in a half oak wiskey barrel if I have too. I wonder if anyone has ever tried one of those plastic baby pools that you can buy at wal-mart and paint it a certain color instead of having a neon blue plastic pool with yellow fish and crabs printed on it. LOL.

Dwarf, Orinoco is a great banana for containers. In my thinking the best banana of all for containers is Gran Nain (The Chiquita banana) Grain Nain can supply over 50-lbs. of fruit per plant. - Millet
