Hello all, It has been a few years since posting. My trees that I have had for 3 and 4 years..meyer, bears lime, satsuma, oro blanco are almost dead. Meyer has almost no leaves as does lime and oro blanco. The satsuma went from green leaves and fruit in winter to yellow leaves dropping and new growth that is whiteish yellow with brown tips. When I started I called four winds and they told me to make a mix of regular potting mix and add cedar shavings and sand to make a fast draining mix. All the trees got that mix except the satusuma which got a catus citrus mix direct from bag. My uncle in Italy has lemon trees in pots as big as a house and doesn't use any special dirt. The only thing he says he does is take a few inches of soil every year or so from the top with some small roots and add new dirt. I have citrus in ground that is doing good but have no luck in pots. My question is can citrus be grown in pots with a potting soil from a bag and also should I try a standard tree in a pot to get some size?URL=http://upmyphoto.com/img/image.php?image=frh_820105_images_3066_11160615000000_1160231066501_loc.jpg] [/URL
