Looks like a grapefruit from the leaves & fruit. It may be a seed grown tree & the seed came from open pollination. In that case it may be very much like the Panzarella orange. Hard to tell without seeing a ripe fruit both inside and out.

[quote="Laaz"]

it looks like a orange on the inside and out
but its pale yellow on the inside
it was bought at a retail nursery in Lakeland Ga (10 miles from our house)
the fruit are not completely ripe yet so it wouldn't be accurate to post a picture of the inside right now but as soon as they get ripe ill try to post some better pictures. Wink
the nursery has several for sale but the owner of it does not know any information about it
he has been calling it an
ORANGE GRAPEFRUIT Confused

thanks-

This is Whittaker's Gold Grapefruit. I have a couple bushels on my tree. It is a very mild tasting and seedy grapefruit and sweetens up before Thanksgiving. I don't mind the seeds as I juice it all. I carted a grafted plant to a St Mary's, GA resident 4 or 5 years ago or more.

I get the occasional white fruit from the tree as well. This grapefruit is propagated in the Houston, TX area.

I'm top-working half the tree to Duncan next spring as I like the flavor better. I planted a couple Houston varieties and have/had mature trees of ujukitsu sweet lemon, golden grapefruit, and panzarella orange. I've since decided I like other varieties better like Duncan grapefruit, Cocktail grapefruit hybrid and Chandler pummelo. BTW I'm finally getting more fruit than I can eat and can top-work a few trees to something I like better.

Here's a picture of my golden grapefruit seedling. My fruit is always a pale tan color to it, no gold at all. Like mr. texas said, it's seedy but mild.
Most people that dislike a strong grapefruit taste like this one.

ours is not as seedy as yours it has about 6-7 seeds per fruit.
and its more of a pale yellow (as you can see from the pictures i posted above) not orange.

Is it possible that this is a Coctail grapefruit?
