Stan, welcome to Colorado, the highest state in the country. However, I have some sad news for your Four Corners visit. I bet you thought you were actually standing in four states (Colorado, Utah, Arizona, New Mexico) at the same time. NOPE!! It has recently been discovered that long ago an error was made, and the actual spot was missed by 2.5 miles. However, I hope you had a good time on your vacation.. When you were in Durango, I hope you took the Million Dollar highway north to Silverton Colorado, one of the most scenic areas of Colorado, and high, high, high UP!!- Millet (522-)

Millet, are you a Colorful Colorado or Colorado Centennial State? I grew up calling it Colorful Colorado and living in NM I always called NM "Land of Entrapment" Wink LOL .. Then I was looking for a shot glass a few yrs back for my shot glass collection trying to find one that said Colorful Colorado but could only find BLAND Centennial State shot glasses.. I was disappointed but brought home the Centennial State glass.. I remember I had half a dozen Colorado T-shirts with mountains and rainbows and always "Colorful Colorado".. May have just been the t-shirt market.. but I think the saying fits that beautiful state better!!! Smile
Think my Grandpa Mills was on to something.. in the mid 80s I remember a trip where we were close to the 4 corners monument and he refused to stop cause it wasn't where it was suppose to be!!! Though we did stop at about every thing else in AZ and NM between Phoenix AZ and Farmington NM...
I still haven't heard from my brother as to when we will be heading that way. but will let you know as soon as I hear any thing..

That's awesome Stan! It gives me great hope for my trees knowing that yours have overcome all they have. I'll battle my first winter this year.
