				| Anyone got these yet? I found clumps of ants in my bathroom in the middle of the house. How they got there I don't know! I used ant bait. I then found them outside. At least I think they are crazy ants. They don't act like regular fire ants in that they clump together. | |

				| mrtexas, not answer to your question but maybe sheds some light on what is going on:

Tetramorium caespitum ("pavement ants") ?

"Why do Ants clump?"

				| I don't think anything can over power fire ants. They are so bad in this area I have to treat my lawn every month or two. _________________

				| Phil,
I'm not sure but I think we do have crazy ants here in Bmt... At least, we have ants around the house that match the description of crazy ants: smaller than fire ants, do not seem to bite (me at least), move in a very sporadic pattern... Dupont's bite (Advion?) seems to be more or less efficient against them.

 Good luck!

I selectively use the bait Amdro and keep mine under very good control. I never had any luck with pesticides on fire ants. The Amdro killed the crazy ants as well!

				| There are a lot of fire ant mounds here but no crazy ants yet. I love kicking fire ant mounds and watch the ants boil out of the mound. | |

				| I really don't thin anything kills the fire ants, Amdro may kill a few but the mound will simply move to a untreated area.

Kick the pile & sit there with a propane torch, they just keep coming. _________________
