In looking for apple scion wood, I ran acrossed this site below. Has anyone dealt with them before?

Are apple scions illegal to import into California?

IIRC, scionwood and bare-rooted stone fruits from the east coast are illegal to import into California due to some recent diseases that made its way and established over there. I haven't come across restrictions on Apple and Pear scionwood though.

Joyce Neighbors (Google her name, she is a hot weather apple guru/author) lives about 15 minutes from me and she used to sell scionwood but now only sells trees for pick up only put she did recommend Steve Kelley in Big Stone Gap, Virginia
