Hi Viktor, welcome to the forum--what part of Pensacola are you in? I'm close to the airport.

What varieties do you have? I have a total of about 25 varieties on 7 trees. Some are still very small grafts, but I have several that are big enough for cuttings if you are into grafting--Ponkan, Lisbon Lemon, Daisy Mandarin, Moro Blood orange, Minneola, Satsuma.

I just noticed today that my Sunburst tangerine has blossom buds on it. I didn't look at the other trees, but I wouldn't be surprised if they did as well. Fortunately we've got several nights that are supposed to be in the thirties that will hopefully force them back into dormancy.

My figs are going to be sorry they woke up. They did this last year too. Gardening in Florida can be maddening at times.

Hi Alan, Yesterday, they had 27 predicted for next Friday, but today that was up to 31--they should be able to handle that.

Viktor, you have a few that I do not, most interesting to me is the Red Naval and the Cara Cara. I do have a Page mandarin, Royal Grapefruit and a Hamlin Orange that you do not. I could give you a cutting from the Hamlin and the Royal Gft, but the Page is still very small.

They're predicting 29 for both Tuesday and Wednesday and I'm trying to decide whether to wrap the trees. Ordinarily I wouldn't bother but they've got all that new growth on them.

I am in Arkansas and my Key and Meyers are also blooming. However, the fruit is very small and started growing in August. The largest is maybe the size of a large marble. My Key and Ponderosa both got a bad case of WLD. A couple of weeks ago, I opened the garage during a storm and the wind came in swriling around and blew off 90% of their leaves. I think the Meyers are use to the cold, this is their second year with me.

Gardening in Florida is maddening at times.

Nearly three weeks of warm weather has caused nine out of ten of my grove citrus to put out flushes of new leaves.

So here's our weather forecast for the rest of this week:

Tuesday Night: Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly clear, with a low around 33. Northwest wind around 8 mph.
Wednesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 27. Calm wind becoming north northwest around 6 mph.
Thursday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 27. North northwest wind between 8 and 10 mph.
Friday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 26.
Saturday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 30.

It is highly unusual for us to get four nights in a row below freezing. Of course weather forecasts become increasingly less accurate the further one goes beyond twenty four hours, but this year the Weather Service has been hitting remarkably close.

Same here. One peach tree is flowering and the bananas are still growing. We have some similar temperatures arriving this week. Hard to believe that it snowed here and we have not had a freeze this year.
